Collect letters from the world around you.
FoundType turns your phone camera into a letter collector. Point it at signs, graffiti, neon lights, tiles, or handwriting. Pick out the letters you love. Each one is saved with its original photo, location, and timestamp.
Then spell out anything with the letters you've collected. Reels, postcards, ransom notes.
What devices are supported?
FoundType requires an iPhone running iOS 17 or later.
Where is my data stored?
All your letters and creations are stored locally on your device. No account required, no server involved.
Can I recover deleted letters?
Once a letter is deleted, it cannot be recovered. Be careful when removing letters from your library.
Does the app use my location?
Location recording is optional. If you allow it, FoundType saves where you found each letter so you can revisit them on a map. You can turn this off at any time in Settings.
