FoundType is designed with your privacy in mind. Your data stays on your device. We do not operate servers, and we do not collect, transmit, or sell your personal information.
FoundType does not collect:
The following data is created and stored locally on your device only:
This data is never sent to us or any third party.
FoundType uses your device camera to photograph letters in the real world. Photos are processed entirely on your device using Apple's built-in Vision framework. No images are uploaded anywhere.
If you choose to allow location access, FoundType records the GPS coordinates of where you found each letter. This is used to display your letters on a map. Location access is optional and can be revoked at any time in your device Settings.
When you export a creation, FoundType saves it to your photo library. This requires your permission and is the only time data leaves the app.
If you have iCloud enabled, your letter library may sync across your Apple devices through Apple's CloudKit. This sync is handled entirely by Apple and is subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.
FoundType does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.
FoundType does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
If we update this privacy policy, the revised version will be posted on this page with an updated date.
